Show Salt Laker Gets Praise On a recent visit to Salt Lake City I visited a friend of mine whom I shall call Bertha. This lady has one small son. Three times each week she gets from five to seven children her son's age together, taking them to a show, to the parks, to the beach of the Great Salt Lake, or she gives them a party in her own home. Tt's always children who would not be able to have these outings or parties if their parents had to furnish money for it. She finances the parties herself, and has been doing it for about six years. How wonderful it would be iC a few more of us would be this kind of good neighbor. I think we could find at least one day each week to help the less fortunate for-tunate children. It would help make better citizens of the younger generation and aid in curbing juvenile delinquency even in our small towns. Mrs. Dean Johnson Modesto, Calif. Christian Science Monitor |
