Show colors last Tuesday as they staged a very lovely reception to which all members of the ward were invited. Under the direction of the Young Women's and Young Men's officers an evening of entertainment was conducted which included a program in the chapel and a dance in the amusement hall for which Bud White and his orchestra or-chestra played. Light refreshments refresh-ments were served. The Young Women's officers are: Miss Twila Heugly, Mrs. Doe Neil-son, Neil-son, and Kar'een Burt. Young Men's officers are: Ralph Pitts, i Charles AVheat and Alvin Kam-merath. Out East Mill Creek Way Babies, End-of-Season Vacationers, Ward Parties Are Town Talk in EMC Mr. and Mrs. Grant AVeiler are the proud parents of a baby boy who made his debut on .Sept. 8. He tipped the scales at six pounds, twelve ounces. The maternal grandparents of tho young lad are Mr. and Mrs. Fred Stark. A note of special significance regarding baby is that he was born on the wedding anniversary of his patenal grandparents Mr. and Mrs. G. X. Weiler. Mother and baby are doing fine. . Jeffrey C.' Xeff is telling all his young friends about his little sister, Victoria Lorraine, who arrived on Sept. 9. The baby has lots of black hair and her weight is five pounds, bVi ounces. Her parents are Mr. and Mrs. Victor Lorraine Xeff and the proud grandparents are Dr. and Mrs. Munn Q. Camion and Mr. and Mrs. Julian Xeff. Still exclaiming about the beauties of Sun Valley and the Canadian Ca-nadian Rockies are Mr. and Mrs. Albert Eccles, who have just returned from a glorious vacation. Their daughter Mary Ethel accompanied them to Sun Valley where the trio met another daughter, Barbara, who has been working there during the summer. sum-mer. Mary Ethel and Barbara returned to Salt Lake from Idaho while their parents continued on to Canada. Enjoying a program, games, and refreshments on Wednesday Wednes-day evening were the residents of East Mill Creek Ward whoi attended the opening of Mutual. Officers in charge were Mrs. Ruby Richards. Mrs. Clair I Smith. Mrs. Elizabeth Wheat, Mrs. Elsie Hodgen, Arthur Wis-comb, Wis-comb, Lowell Piatt, Albert Xeff and Scott Beesley. Evergreen Ward Mutual started start-ed the season off with flying |
