Show Sugar House Ward Chatter THIS and THAT By Jjeah Bond i News from near and far bring interesting notes about all sorts of people this week . . . From up Clarkston way comes news that VELD A RASMUSSEN has been made president of their Primary. She served in the same capacity in Sugar House Ward a few years back . . . REX JONES is having some interesting experiences ex-periences out in the mission field. He was asked to speak to the philosophy class at the University of Connecticut and as a result of his talk sold several copies of the Book of Mormon. Rex is one of the missionaries who is traveling wthout purse or script over the summer and by fall his experiences should fill a book. . . . MR. and MUS. NORMAN JENSEN, and childen, went down to Fillmore over the nice long week end . . . MRS. FRANK C. BERG has had visitors from Portland, Ore. Her brother, DARRELL ROMNEY, his wife and children, have been renewing acquaintances acquain-tances in Salt Lake . . . MR. and MRS. GEORGE W. BURBIDGE, 1969 South 11th East, have their daughter, ELAINE BANDLEY, and small son visiting here from their home in Billings, Mont. They expect to spend a month here so they can be in on all the festivities surrounding LOUISE BURBIDGE'S wedding as well as visit ... On Wednesday, all the mothers of Primary children were guests of honor at a special mother's program in Pimary. The children presented a fine program of musical numbers and refreshments re-freshments were served. A display of summer work was shown Summer Primary begins next Wednesday at 10 a.m. under the leadership of the new president, ERMA FURLONG . . . The Elders are planning a picnic for all the quorum members and their families, fam-ilies, Saturday evening after the Elders' baseball game. |
