Show SOUTHEAST BOWLINC NEWS The Round Robin at the Southeast South-east last Sunday produced no sensational scores, but Doug Muir rolled 1202 and Bill Collins had 1205. The high game ot the day went to Vic White, who tied John Mellor's 267 of last- week. Many changes were made in the standings, stand-ings, and John Elzinga now teaus in Class A, with Herm Schettler second, and Joe Barney in third place. Barnett & Weiss and Dee's Hamburger are again tied in leading the Southside league. Last week Dee's had the heavy scores, their series being 2911 and high game, 1045. Three men cn the team had outstanding series, the highest being Dave Chipman with a 656, including a 278 game; next was Doc Mason with 654, and Bus Milham had 644. Bo Williams rolled 602 for Southeast Courts. Palace Market was high with a 2652 series in the Independent league, but Palace Laundry had 944 for high game. To B. Worth-en Worth-en of Palace Market went high individual series when he smacked smack-ed them for 613, and Les Stewart of Motor Merc had 218 for high game. In the ladies Forest league, Irene Marker was high individual, individu-al, rolling a 469 series and 189 game. Palm took team honors, having a 2061 series and 749 game. Stan Butts led the Holsum team to a 4 point win in the Southeast league last week, when he got a hot 265 game in a 635 series. Mecca had the high series with 2706 and 964 for high game. The game between Pepsi-Cola and and Independents was postponed. Frank's Hut made a clean sweep of high scores in the Lumbermen's league last Friday, when C. Picht led his team with a nice 640 series and 243 game, and the team had 2609 for high series and 960 for game. M. & M. Mill, Frank's Hut, and Auto Supply Sup-ply are tied for first place in the I league. In the Cardinal Ladies league, Wendell's Market broke the 1 records for high- series and game. when they rolled 2414 for series and 843 fot game. Mayme Alexander had 195 for high game, and tied with Wilma McGregor with a 506 series, but Sid Evans came thru with 513 to take high individual series for Quality Press. Erma Stevenson of Ben Franklin rolled 505. Southeast South-east Courts went into first place again, taking 4 points while Michels lost 4. Results of a double header bowled bow-led by the Sugar House Major league will be reported in next week's news. a |
