AS USUAL, Sugar House scored some "near misses" along with its "hits," bnt by any standard, it was a big year for the capital of the southeast arsa. There were many things like the community commu-nity restroom project, the Wilmington Ave. ramp, widening wid-ening of 21st South, and new streets, which have not yet ' been brought to successful completion. But they're not forgotten. Just watch what happens in '51. THE NEW FACES which have come into our midst fit well into the picture. Nearly all of the managers of new Sugar House business firms are now iictive in the Sugar House Chamber of Commerce, and boosting the community We're sure that the trend will continue The only problem is where are we going to put new Dusinesses? Sigsbce for a job well done on the Christmas celebration. Paul took over a tougli job with two big obstacles in his path: (1) he had never worked on a Christmas committee before; and (2) he was comparatively com-paratively new to the community. com-munity. He had a real "baptism "bap-tism by fire" as he got into the midst of the work, but he didn't flinch once. He'll be even twice as good next year. WE'VE HEARD nothing but praise over that recent chamber cham-ber Christmas party. Thank3 and appreciation go to Fern Smoot Hansen and her committee commit-tee for doing the job well.
