Show STUNTED GROWTH A New Yorker drove his country cousin round the city, pointing out its various wonders. He slowed his car before a tall building. "Look at this building," the New Yorker said, proudly. "It's one hun- dred stories high." The farmer nodded slowly. "Doggone fine building," he admitted. ad-mitted. "Makes yer haid spin jest to look up at it." The pair drove on and the city man paused to single out another building. "Here's a new skyscraper fifty' stories," he said. The farmer stroked his chin. "Fifty stories, eh?" he drawled.1 "What made them stop in the middle?" |
