Show Brighton Ski i Shop Opens Soon Snow sports enthusiasts will be able to obtain all their skiing needs right at the scene of their winter fun during the coming season, according to Richard Despain, 1914 South 10th East, owner and operator of the Alpine Al-pine Ski Shop at Brighton. The shop, which is located in the basement of the Alpine Rose Lodge, will be approximately two times as large as it was last year, Mr. Despain stated, which will mean greater facilities facil-ities for serving the public. Mr. Despain will feature a complete rental service in addition ad-dition to selling ski equipment and souvenirs. By popular demand de-mand he will offer to his patrons pa-trons silver ski pins imported directly from Switzerland. Modeling skiing costumes at the Alpine Shop will be lovely Jackie Hutchinson, who was recently re-cently crowned queen of the Clearfield Naval Supply Depot. Miss Hutchinson will become Mrs. Despain in rites scheduled for November in the Salt Lake ! Temple. I Mr. Despain, who is a native of Sugar House, is an excellent skier. He won fourth place in the last National jumping and cross country combined meet at Seattle, Washington, and fourth place in the 1949 July 4th race on Mt. Timpanogos. Assisting at the ski shop will be Boyd Smith, 1732 East 64th South, who also is an outstanding outstand-ing winter sportsman. |
