Show Rotary Speaker Warns Against Propaganda Propaganda widely disseminated dissemi-nated and accepted by many persons per-sons as factual information is one of the most serious threats to democracy, George C. Sutherland, Suther-land, associate editor of tne Deseret News, told mmebers of Sugar House Rotary club at their regular weekly luncheon Thursday at Weasku Inn. Ml Sutherland called attention .o the vast volume of information sent out by various government bureaus and other groups and warned that "eternal vigilance is the price of freedom," and that every American must learn to distinguish between propaganda propa-ganda and facts, and do his own thinking. He also discussed the proposed pro-posed grade label plan and termed it a critical threat to the system of free enterprise and the American way of life. |
