Show EMC M-Men Win Stake Crown East Mill Creek's torrid M-Men M-Men basketball team blazed through to the stake championship champion-ship Wednesday evening at the Granite Jr. High school gym when they soundly defeated a game Rosecrest team 43-27. Their victory was made doubly sweet when the score of tlvj evening's second game was announced. Grandview beat EMC's closest rival, the strong Cummings' five, 46-32. This gives East Mill Creek undisputed first place in league play. Cummings and Grandview are tied for second place as a result of Wednesday's games. Officials announced that a play-off between be-tween the two teams will be held Saturday, Feb. 7 at 7 p.m. in the Granite Jr. gym. East Mill Creek will represent repre-sent East Mill Creek stake in the interstake championships which are scheduled to get under un-der way in two weeks. Their record for the season was eight wins, two losses. The team was coached by Roy Tanner. |
