Show Out East Mill Creek Way ... I Wedding, Vacations, Babies Are News This Week in EMC Mr. and Mrs. Harold W. Walker Walk-er are announcing the marriage of their daughter, Lila Mae, to George W. Barker, Jr. . The ceremony was performed at the home of the bride in tne presence pres-ence of members of the imme- 0m (hate families, last Fridav, Mar. tf'' 26. LDS Bishop West of Murray performed the marriage. The newlyweds are honeymooning in California and the Northwest. Upon returning, they will make their home in Salt Lake. Spending their Easter vacation vaca-tion in Salt Lake were Mr. and Mrs. Sherman Hinckley of Eureka, Eu-reka, Nev. They are visiting with Sherman's parents, Mr. and Mrs. b. S. Hinckley. Dr. R. V. Chamberlin has recently re-cently returned from a business trip to Southern and Central California. While in Los Angeles An-geles he visited his daughter, Helen Tangren. A son and heir was born to Mr. and Mrs. Clarence Place, 2564 Evergreen, on March 22, 1948. The boy weighed a little lit-tle over seven pounds at birth. He will be called Brock Lambert. Lam-bert. The show at the East Mill Creek Ward will be held on Saturday Sat-urday this week and will be "The Daring Desperados." The East Mill Creek dance club dance for April will follow the theme of "The Gay Nine- ties," and will be held tonight, April 2. Surprising entertainment entertain-ment is in store for all, and club members are urged to bring their friends. You are to wear your derby hats, handle-bar mustaches, bustles, etc. The Gleaner Girls of East Mill Creek ward are playing host to the Gleaner girls of the rest of the stake at a leap year dance to be held in the EMC amusement amuse-ment hall, Wednesday, April 14. "The Petticoat Prom," as the dance is to be called, will feature fea-ture Mickey Paramore's Swing-erettes, Swing-erettes, and will begin at 9 p.m. All Gleaner girls are invited to get their dates and come to this dance. March 10, was the date of birth for a daughter born to Mr. and Mrs. LeGrand Bennion. Mrs. Bennion is the former Amelia Anderson of Rosecrest Ward. |
