Show Young People Urged To Enter SUP Pioneer Story Contest Less than two weeks remain re-main for entries to be submitted sub-mitted for the 1951 SUP Pioneer Pio-neer Story contest, according to Rulon J. Sperry, story contest chairman of the Sugar Sug-ar House SUP chapter. March 1 is the deadline for the contest, con-test, the winners of which may receive prizes both from the local chapter as well as the national organization. Each entry must be a true Webb, Wayland Ewing, Charles M. Wheat, Raymond Elggren. Albert T. Ludlow was named stake clerk. story of some Utah pioneer, and preferably an ancestor of the contestant. Contestants must be under 21 years of age. Length of the narrative must not be more than 1500 words. Contestants in the Sugar House area may send their entries to Mr. Sperry at 1365 Roosevelt Ave. Winners of the chapter contest will be announced some time in May, 1951, and national winners will be awarded prizes at the SUP encampment in Cedar-City Cedar-City in August. Applications are obtainable at The Bulletin office in Sugar House, or from Mr. Sperry. |
