Show Remember That Spelling SUGAR HOUSE'S "Turkey Days" celebration proves once again that many business men in this south east community commu-nity are up on their toes when it comes to unusual promotion methods. The plaza attraction of live turkeys, plus store attrac-tons attrac-tons of real bargains are responsible for drawing large crowds to Sugar House. Chamber officials and committee members are to be commended for their enthusiasm and industry. Only one sour note has thus far entered the scene. It seems that many business men are not suffciently interested in presenting pre-senting a united front to properly spell the name of our community. com-munity. If they don't realize that the spelling of Sugar House is now officially two words instead of one, we can't expect the daily newspapers, nor the citizens of the community to do any better. Several peple have commented on this fact. They have said, "We thought that Sugar House business men were in favor of the two-word spelling, but we notice that many of them list the spelling of "Sugahouse" in their advertisements." This community has a name it can be proud of. It is unique. It has possibilities of becoming widely known if its citizenry and business people are progressive enough. The two-word spelling emphasizes the name's historic significance, and therefore should be the only one that is used. Let's tell the world that it is SUGAR HOUSE, and it's a wonderful place in live and to shop. |
