Show Hawthorne P I A Ho Ids Animal Banquet The annual PTA banquet of the Hawthorne School was held Thursday evening, beginning at 6:30, at the Temple Square Hotel, Ho-tel, according to Mrs. Dan Edwards, Ed-wards, publicity chairman. Following the dinner, the audience au-dience was entertained by an old-fashioned melodrama entitled enti-tled "The Follies," put on by male members of the PTA. Duane Hill presented a novelty number, followed by a vocal solo by Mrs. G. W. Snyder and a reading by Carolyn Thompson. Thomp-son. Committee members in charge were Mrs. Elbert Thompson, Mrs. Fred E. Curtis, Mrs. R. E. Folland, Mrs. R. B. Hoggan, Mrs. R. L. Evans, Mrs. G. W. Snyder, Mrs. Phyl Poul-son Poul-son and Mrs. T. M. Torkelson. Teachers were guests of the room representatives, Mrs. Edwards Ed-wards reported. Special guests were Mrs. Helen Oberg, Salt Lake PTA Council president; Mrs. Leon Hancock, member of Salt Lake Council; Mrs. Donald B. Rose, vice president of the state PTA Congress; Mr. and Mrs. Delbert Lamb, Hawthorne School principal, and Mrs. Dirk Rekin. |
