Show CITY REVENUE SHOWS DECLINE A sharp decline in Salt Lake City revenues, chiefly attributed to declines in court fines, for the first five months of 1944 is shown in the May report issued this week by the Salt Lake City auditor's office. Many revenue decreases were listed in court fines and forfeitures with a drop of $21,200 for five months: parking meter fees, with a decrease of $5,900, and water revenue funds with a decrease of $2,850. Practically all departments showed increased expenditures brought about principally by salary sal-ary increases for employes. Marine First Lieutenant Averh R. Poulcon, dive- bomber puot undergoing un-dergoing training at the Marine Corps Air Station, Santa Ana, California., recently was promoted to his present rank from second j lieutenant. He is the son of Mr. and Mrs. A. R. Poulton, 272 2nd avenue, Salt Lake City, and his wife is the former Miss Mildred Ausherman of this city. Employed as an aviation mechanic mech-anic at Hill Field, Ogden, Utah, prior to joining the Corps in 1942, Lieutenant Poulton received his wings in June 1943. At present Lieutenant and Mrs. Poulton live in Santa Ana. |
