Coffee: Stamp No. 23 good for one pound through May 30. Meats, Etc Red stamp E, F, G, andH remain re-main valid through May, and stamp J is valid through June. Stamps K, L, M, and N valid on successive Mondays, beginning May 30, also good through June. Processed Foods Blue stamps G, H. and J remain valid through June 7. Stamps K, L, and M became valid May 21. Shoes: Stamp No. 17 good for one pair through 15. Stamp No. 18 becomes valid for one pair June 16. To relieve retailers of an end-of-the-month buying rush, OPA has extended for one week the time which blue stampe G, H and J may be used for the purchase of processed foods. Simultaneously, Sim-ultaneously, it sxtends for one month the period during which red stamp "J" may be used for the purchase of meats and fats, according to Mrs. R. L. McKean, community service member of the Salt Lake City war price and rationing ra-tioning board. Thus, instead of expiring on May 31, as previously announced, the May blue stamps, G, H, and J will be valid through June 7, and tie red "J" stamp will' be valid all through June 30, the board member mem-ber explained. Consumers should do their necessary buying, therefor, as much in advance of Saturday as possible.' J NEW WAY TO GET CANNING SUGAR Sugar for home canning can be obtained by using stamps 15 and 16 in War Ration Book One, instead in-stead of "sugar allowance coupons" cou-pons" as previonsly announced. Each stamp is worth five pounds. Consumers who require more than ten pounds per person for canning can-ning will apply to thtir local ration ra-tion boards for an additional allowance. |
