Show Final Tribute Paid Southeast Resident Shelley Asa Petty diel November Novem-ber 12, 1943 of a coronary occlusion. occlu-sion. Mr. Petty was returning from a visit to a physician where hehad gone for a complete checkup, check-up, when he collapsed as he was about to enter his car. He was born near Monroe, Iowa, August 27, 1888, a son of John Alfred and Rosa Ann Heywood i Petty. At the age of 13 years, he moved with his parents to Akla-homa, Akla-homa, where he grew to manhood. On April 14, 1909 he was united unit-ed in marriage to Jessie May'Grif-fis. May'Grif-fis. They have have one daughter, Betty-Jo. Mr. Petty, with his family moved mov-ed to Salt Lake City in August 1922. He was engaged in business in Sugar House for sixteen years, his barber shop being located at 2040 South 11th East street. He was a member of the First Methodjst Church in this city, and a member of the Masonic Lodge and Eastern Star at Clinton, Clint-on, Oklahoma. He is survived by his widow and daughter and the following brothers: Lora A., Clmrley A., George, John, Carl, Ted and Mar-jon, Mar-jon, all of Oklahoma, and one sister, sis-ter, Mrs. Ardys Farnsworth of Booger, Texas. Two bothers, Lora and Marion attended the funeral services which were held November 17, at Ricketts-Alcott Mortuary, with Rev. Raymond C. Walker officiating. officiat-ing. Burial took place in the Masonic plot,, Mt. Olivet Cemetery. |
