Show SECRETARY OF STATE ADDRESSES C. OF C. j S. H. Founders Day Banquet April 26 Secretary of State E. E. Mon-son, Mon-son, addressed member of the Sugar House Chamber of Commerce Com-merce at Wednesday's meeting. Dr. Monson gave a very interesting interest-ing summary of developments in post war planning that are now in progress in the state of Utah. Projects to irrigate vast new areas of farm lands, rru-vntaining the Geneva Steel Plant, and developing de-veloping hugh deposits of phoso-phates phoso-phates in this territory are all considered in Post War planning. Slowly demobilizing our armed forces after the war, so that men can be absorbed in industry and placed in positions they are qualified qual-ified to take is a post war problem pro-blem that should be given much thought and consideration in i-ost war planning. The speaker was introduced by Hiram C. Young, a past president of the Chamber of Commerce. Don R. Hobbs, presided and after introducing new members and guests, told members to reserve re-serve the evening of April 26, for Sugar House Founders' Day banquet ban-quet which will be held at Weasku Inn, 2263 East 21st South. |
