Show em Meets Alarch 10th The Sugar House Business and Professional Women's Club will hold its regular monthly meeting Wednesday. March 10, at 7:00 p.m. at Harman's Cafe in Sugar House with Mrs. Ted Miller presiding. The Career Advancement Committer is in charge of the arrangements and program. Chairman Mrs. Evelyn Elmer has arranged for the Utah Federation Chairman on Career Advancement to be the speaker. She is Mrs. Jewell J. Bindrup of Ogden, Utah. She will discuss the career advancement of the mature worker. Mrs. Mae Boen has arranged for the dinner and she will also give the Club Collect. St. Patrick decorations for the tables will be created by committee members Mrs. Signe M. O'Brien, Mrs. W. A. Banks. Mrs. Ann Potter, Mrs. Ray Carlisle and Mrs. Maurine Siddwell. Musical numbers will be given by the music department of the Highland High School, featuring a duet by Evan Thomas and Bonnie Sue Simmons. Mrs. Violet Hite will take charge of this part of the program. The National Security Committee will continue the program of educating the home-maker for time of disaster by a talk on protective shelter and safety in the home by Mrs. Anna Belle Brown. Plans will be discussed for the Spring District Meeting and delegates will be elected. Sugar House Club will be the hostess club for this event, announces Mrs. Arietta Elton, publicity chairman. The March Board meeting was held at the home of Mrs. J. C. Nation for executive officers and standing committee chairman. Films taken of the meeting in November featuring the Foreign Students who were special guests of Sugar House Club, were shown. |
