"A boy detained in detention quarters in connection with an old folks' home knocked a hole in the ceiling, crawled through it, dropped into the hall and escaped through the fire escape. Another boy in this same facility, pulled a baxeboard away from the wall, crawled into , the hall and escaped through the fire escape. Another boy called to the matron, stood behind the door with a steel bar and attempted to hit the "matron when she entered the room. These incidents have occurred because of inadequate supervision and poor facilities. |
