We'd like to try and make a go of It but BOTH our parents are against the marriage in jail, but how else can we get married? Also, neither of our parents approve of the marriage, so here I am blocked on every side. If my boy friend and I want to try to make a GO of it, why should my parents object to signing me so we can get .married? Blocked-On-Every-Tu- rn him. Your boy friend is of age and therefore his parents need not be in on the plans to make it legal, but they should be in-vited to the ceremony. After a consultation with YOUR FAMILY'S own doctor, it is hoped that he will call a conference of all parties con-cerned (except the boy friend who isn't free to attend) and try to resolve this marital bloc as the STORK waits for no man. In my opinion, it would be far better to marry and give the child the parental name to which he is entitled. Psychologically speaking, it is better for the child to have a mother who is "3Irs. Somebody" rather than "Miss Nobody". If both you and your boy friend are of the same faith, it would be well to ask your min-ister or bishop to go to the pri-son and present the facts to the warden in the presence of your boy friend. If you are not of the same faith, then ask the min-ister of your boy friend's faith to make the arrangements after getting the consent of YOUR PARENTS. Also, the minister or bishop can work through the prison chaplain and it can be accomplished if the boy friend is willing. After you're married then write to your husband several times each week and include him in on your future planning rela-tive to the baby and RESOLVE TOGETHER to be GOOD PAR-ENTS and GOOD CITIZENS! Tammy Thompson Dear Tammy: Your articles on "free love" have prompted me to ask for immediate advice with regard to my own problems, which have thrown me into a men-tal bloc. I am 16 years of age, in love with a boy 18 who is at pre-sent serving a nine months' jail sentence. The second verse is that I am five months preg-nant and we aren't married. We would like to get married and-- keep our baby rather than Dear "Blocked-on-Every-Turn- ": Your case contains most ALL the complexities that "free love" invites. If only youth could con-sider these complexities as a possibility when they are enter-ing upon the brink of free love, so much unhappiness and frustr-ation could be avoided. Let's consider each angle of your case by itself. First of all, you are only 16 years of age and must have the consent of your parents to wed. Tell your folks that they must help you choose which of two courses to take. Either they give their written consent for marriage or else you will be forced to put the baby out for adoption at birth. You should also be under the care of a Doctor for the sake of your own health. I would suggest you go to your family's doctor and explain your involve-ment. He can undoubtedly - in-fluence your parents after point-ing out the various legal, moral, and medical aspects of your case. Being an expectant mother should be a happy, joyful time in one's -- life, but when it is ac-complished via the "free-love- " avenue, sometimes it becomes the most frustrating time in one's life. Even though your boy friend is in jail, a marriage ceremony can be arranged by permission of the Worden, but the boy friend cant make the arrange-ments because he's isolated from the outside. Therefore, it is up to you and your folks to arrange for a talk with the Warden in the presence of both you and African Safari Attracts The Sorensens Ke turning from a six weeks sojourn into the fabulous Africa, Mr. and Mrs. Maynard Sorensen, of 1776 Orchard Drive, will be heartily welcomed home by the six little Sorensen's who stayed at home. Flying by way of romantic Pans, historic Rome and fabled Aniens, the Sorensens landed on tlie island of Zanzibar, where uiey outfitted for their journey into equatorial Africa, into the i'abled Tanganyika, East Africa on a search for trophies of the hunt. Mrs. Horace A. Sorensen at 3000 Connor St. and mother of the adventuring gentleman, has several pictures of game bagged by the intripid pair. Guided by one of Africa's best known game hunters, Clarence i'almer Wilson, who was ac-companied by his wife, the party trekked into the wilds, with nine native boys to pack their gear, .ook and keep their camp in order and take care of the tro-llies brought down by the hunters.
