Show I The festive spirit of Christmas jis being enhanced this week in Su-' gar House by live carol singing j I on the plaza. j Several choral groups are co-j 'operating with the Sugar House' Chamber of Commerce to provide entertainment for shoppers. Thursday at 1:30 p.m. the Irving Ir-ving Junior High boys' glee club will sing. Friday afternoon at 5:30 Sugar Forest Brownie Troop 215 will sing! from the plaza, and then travel to! ja number of the stores in ihe area,! to sing inside. ! j Hillside Jr. High mixed chorus will be on the p!aza at 7 p.m. Friday. Earlier in the week. Irving girls glee club, Bryan mixed chorus. Highland High mixed chorus ar.J Olympus High mixed chorus shared shar-ed their talents with Sugar House merchants'and shoppers. A group of Mexican exchange students visited SUP Pioneer Village Vil-lage test week. People are so fun and fancy - free around Christmas time, especially. There are some teen-agers who want to go and visit Santa Claus and might go as far as sitting on his lap and telling him what they want for Christmas. The "Flu" and I were partners for awhile last week and I had time to think about a lot of things. I guess the best gift you could have for Christmas is good health. The season inspires us artists with such creative minds to have crazy mixed-up parties such as no-slumber parties, chili dinners, scavenger hunts in the middle of the night, etc, etc. and etc. 1 Olympus High had a really beautiful beau-tiful and successful dance. It was the Girls' Association Celeste Cotillion. Cot-illion. Sterling Gerber and his orchestra or-chestra were there and really put rhythm in " our feet and stars in our eyes. Well, have all you girls got your Easter outfits ready? No, I'm just kidding, but this weather is just like Spring and I'm dreaming of a WHITE CHRISTMAS! We just just had one of the biggest big-gest thrills of Christmas. My lit-j lit-j tie brother, Jay and his Primary jplass came to our house and sang Life With Lynne Oh, I'm so full of, the spirit of Christmas! The Christmas shoppers shop-pers with all their packages, the smell of fruit cake in the oven, the delivery trucks out in the front of the " homes delivering mysterious myster-ious bundles, the fragrant . smell of pine coming from a gaily decorated de-corated Christmas tree in the main hall at school, and. so many more things that are so hard to explain. Oh, yes, I forgot the mistletoe hanging over the doorways. door-ways. Some of the girls are mak- ing sure and putting it in their hair. Don't you just love to go Christmas Christ-mas shopping at night? It's so much' fun to see the bright lights and the decorations and especially 1 |
