Show school board settles strike in uintah county holds firm finn to decision that students attend avalon school the strike against the uintah county school program which was being staged by parents and children of the woods section east of myton was settled at a meeting of the uintah county board of education last week A delegation from the woods section met mat with the board and asked that their children be sent to the myton school when the board explained that it would cost 50 for each pupil gent cent there and that transportation would have to be taken care of by the county as well woods people recognized that the expenditure was vas too great however they asked that their children be sent to fort duchesne instead of avalon the board pointed out that i ii had been unanimously agreed by residents of that part of the county in a mass meeting during the summer that if the board would complete the avalon school build ing and provide teachers student tf would be sent there the bus routes have been set up and the teachers hired accordingly so that any changes would not be practicable the school board said delegates agreed to the boards plan and by last week end all al strike pupils were reported in school |
