| Show school board makes official canvass ot 01 recent ele election ct on Afe meeting eting held at board offices monday at a meeting of the duchesne county school board held monday postponed from the regular meeting date december ath because of elections an official canvass ot of last weeks poles was made which showed the election of L D gardner of neola for district no 1 floyd E lamb of my ton for district no 3 and J edgar holder of mt alt emmons for district no 5 the canvass revealed practically the same results as previously reported it included the harper precinct at nine mile alile which had not been heard from when returns were announced last week harper precinct gave seven votes to mr lamb and five to mr stone A delegation legation da from utahn attended the meeting to discuss with school board mern members bers the ver crowded condition of the utahn bus which transports stu lents jents to duchesne after due consideration and investigation the board authorized superintendent W J bond to hire a private car to carry the younger students irom rom utahn uta nn to duchesne thus relieving the crowded crowd ed bus condition an extension of approximately ely wo miles on the upper arcadia chool bus route was authorized by the board to accommodate ome 19 students living bayon 3 the buss former stopping point floyd E lamb board president ind and C C Alic kelson clerk were liven authority to negotiate r r loan for to carry cany or school operations until december if necessary the loan wil be necessary only if a dis tribu lion ion of state funds is not mada prior to that time |
