Show primary law explained to B P W group ray E dillman explained and discussed the new primary election law before a group of business and professional women who met at the home of mrs reva lundberg wednesday evening he outlined the party organizations within the precinct county and state after which he explained some of the intricacies of th the law A runoff run off election he said will be held on the first tuesday in september at which time the two candidates on each party ticket receiving the highest number of votes will be placed on the primary ballot the primary election t I 1 on will wil I 1 take tak e place on the third tuesday in september at this election one candidate on each party ticket receiving the highest number of votes will be nominated and have his name placed on the november election ballot voters in the runoff run off and primary elections cannot scratch ballots but may only vote one bartys ticket thus the new law binds political parties more clearly together mr air dillman presented many of the weaknesses of the new election law to the group after which open discussion followed mrs airs mary orser reported report edi i on an article from the independent woman entitled the last days of the congress and mrs airs M 1 J edwards reviewed an article Telo visioning tomorrow also in the independent woman A reading by boroi jones concluded tm thi program r am after afler which organization and business of the club was tak en up |
