Show uintah P and L co spends for new steel pipe pip e lii L I 1 il e new pipe will eliminate M most ost of power trouble during winter months manager reports work is nearing completion on the installation of the new 24 inch steel pipe which will replace the wooden pipe leading from the uintah power and light company plant in uintah canyon to tl tle the e canal it was announced today by melvin E lundberg manager of the company the pipe is 4 feet in length and is being installed at a cost of the R hardesty manufacturing company contracted the work which was supervised by albert devey the electric arc welding work was done under the direction of C D bradley eight local men have been employed on the job which was begun september 24 and will be completed by the end of the week the change over from the wooden pipe to the new all steel pipe will take place sunday october 11 during which time the power will be off for about 12 hours officials of the uintah power and light company feel that the installation of the new pipe will eliminate most of the power troubles occurring during winter months as leaks sprung in the wooden pipe have caused considerable difficulties during the past years i |
