five lions and visitors dom heber city duchesne vernal verdal and roosevelt were in atland ance lion president of the roosevelt club dr R Q warnock in the opening address of welcome wel coine told 0 it the purpose of the lions lion day cerebration celebration and why he club was instrumental in getting the heber band to the basin and hoped that it would be an incentive to create such an organization for roosevelt after which he introduced lion wm win 11 II rupple jr as toastmaster ot of the e benins ee who called upon lion president ident hardy of heber city club and lion president douglis douglas from the vernal club for speeches after which the roosevelt lions quartet V T rice L T wall wallace ace charles albright and al E I 1 lundberg furnished several nuin numbers hers between each of us in our dealings with each other monism Is the greatest of all organizations being neither fraternal rel religious ivious or political we know no creed race color or religion nothing that so generally vexes and disturbs the peaceful path of other organ organizations ia a eions is not tole tolerated in politics and religion play no part whatever in our organs iza tion OUTS ours Is not abot mere lip service but is the honest endeavor of every lion to serve his fellow lions his neighbors friends r and community in every walk of life without hope of receiving anything in respect international bearing in mind that this organization Is still a growing organization tor for in spite of the depression in the last several years hundreds of clubs have been added to the roster of membership of since the international national convention in los aggeles Au geles la in utah we have added a most magnificent club in your sitter sister city of provo which Is ia made up of 45 members all charter members of very high class citizens two other othar clubs are about to bo be organized sed in the tate state of idaho and we bellee before the end of my lyrea present ent term of 0 ottice that we shall have exceeded the quota of new clubs cluba a allocated to us by 1 I want to congratulate you on the excellent membership which appears here this evening in n tire the words of julian
