Show red cross committee makes report on flour distribution total grain received lb ib total flour received ib ab there were no particular restrictions strict ions on tho the grain except that it was let out in quantities not to exceed pounds later this limit was raised to 1000 pounds the committee attempted to distribute tire the grain fahily and in proportion to the number of stock the condition of the stock and the amount of feed on oil hand the largest amount of flour allotted was pounds this was ivas to a very few families famil res where conditions were rather exceptional other families deceived lesser amounts tha th hauling was all done by local freighters at per hundred there was a five cent handling charge la in case of the grain the coppard seed company stored the flour and assisted in checking it out without any charges charge the eastern utah trans company and horace allred tach bich donated the hauling of pounds of flour ren penn fenn john baumgartle C C collett and wm oneil assia assisted ted the committee in ia checking out the flour in a number of cass cases where people unable to pay the freight they received the flour tree arce of charge such charges charge 3 were met in other ways the committee did considerable work and tried hard to be fair of course errors were probably made but the people should not believe all the reports they heard beard as many of them have no foundation there will be no more grain there may possibly be more flour however this Is not certain in the more is allotted it will be restricted to the needy and distressed all re pots potts receipts requisitions etc are on hand and will no doubt be audited by the red crow cross officials duchesne ducheane duche ane county received large quantities ot of both wheat and ilour flour perhaps more than our share there should be no complaints on this part all bills are paid and there is a small 2 mount amount or of cash on hand which will vill be used to assist the needy no one received any pay par except as explained above respectfully submitted LUKE CLEGG ALFRED LUBLIN |
