Show court of honor for local boy scott held sunday eve A court of honor for the scouts of kings peak district was held sunday evening in the roosevelt L D S chapel at which time advancement van awards were rode rade the following scouts were abard ed baag badges and advanced from tenderfoot to second class richard fer ferron feron on rondo sullivan and merlin S sullivan prom from second class to first class ronald lublin I 1 woodrow collott collett pul paul burton clifford broderick Broder lck richard feri fer i ron elroy wilkins Wll klas dee orser howard armston II Il reed read clegg william gagon miles allies dillman billie Spooner moro doro and lloyd knudson merit badges w were ere awarded the following sout scouts 8 in special work gordon hainston Han for pioneering and cooking Al aurico lambert in cooking cycling pioneering and leather craft stanley orser in pioneering and cooking theron lambert in cooking pioneering and scholarship donald lublin la ing cooking civics and pioneering the court of honor was conducted by ray E dillman d director I 1 13 0 colton chairman of the council willard day scoutmaster reverend john leacher fred ferron hobor heber T hall and homer P edwards committee talked on various phases 0 s of the scout work A A anderson scout executive of tampa bogos council gave an address and complin compliment ent to the scouts on tire the advancement thay have made and praised Scout mae NV cluard illard day for his wok wok this court of honor was the conclusion of three days of scout activities being proceeded prece ded eded by an overnight camp on the whiterocks river in which troops from loka with 11 scouts neola with 18 and roosevelt with 23 made camp friday F afternoon scout commissioner alfred lublin was in charge of the camp which was visa also participated in by chairman 73 0 colton committeemen 11 T hall the reverend leacher walter E atwood and nepal smithson charles Sch attended the miria ant and friday evening gave the scouts a lecture on astronomy nomy walter E atwood recited the legion ot of the Ul flag mount ceremonies were conducted stanley orser acted as trumpeter much work in the nature of passing tests scout pace tracking estimating and judging fudging were canted car led out by thi th troops Cl classes arvies in nature study were carried out scout executive A A anderson anderaon conducted school for scout masters mastera and shouters sunday mo moning ning and afternoon with scout troops from neola whiterocks Whlter loka laka ballard and roosevelt albert betts and henry ot of the whiterocks Whlter indian school attended the school A troop of indian scouts is contemplated and to tg that end mr will attend the school which will bo be held at fort wingate this summer mr anderaon And ereon especially called attention to the matter of troops troop properly pro parly registering and renewing registrations which will soon coon expire the importance of which will be a qualifying item when the troops 0 go o to the uintah basin scout camp which will be hold at a point yet to he be decided upon from july 18 to 23 as well as the competition at the U B IC I 1 0 mr Ai anderson will return to the uintah basin on juno J a 13 I 1 at a I 1 which time a dele delegation gatio n from in duchesne county will join with onal one from uintah to inspect and select I 1 a camp site which this year will bo be located in uintah county |
