Show state road construction camp moved from indian canyon the state road construction craw with vern gillman foeman fo to eman in charge moved from the camp on the summit of the indian canyon willow creek road where they had been engaged in snow removal during the winter the tractor grader trucks and camp car passed through roosevelt friday to the uintah river friday afternoon mr gillman and crew after sprinkling th thi gravel surfaced highway through town smoothed smooth cd the grade with the tractor and grader thereby greatly improving main street two camps have been established one at indian bench and one a at gusher the rock crusher has been installed at the indian bench gravel pit and will be completely assembled and in operation in two or three days sufficient gravel will be crushed to surface the highway from the uintah river bridge to a point near the george young farm and it addition some cubic yards tor for stock the grading crew was put to work at tle the hill just west of gusher where on account of the rock it i has been necessary to blast A force of 35 men and 15 teams in addition to the four trucks are engaged on ion the work two additional trucks will arrive shortly to be put in to service on the gravel haul E C knowlton state road engineer reuben simpson simp son district engineer R A gillis resident engineer and vern vera gillman in went ovir orr the projects friday and saturday malting making arrangements for that Is to be accomplished this season by the force which is being maintained by the state road commission through th tha use of beter betterment ment funds |
