unselfishness service to god and humanity and the spiritual development of the youth of the land urged by the speakers at the opening session of the ninety eighth annual conference of 0 the church of 0 jesus christ of latter day saints which convened in the tabernacle at 10 friday morning for days past members of the chuich have been arriving in ill salt lake from various parts of the country to attend the conference sessions and when president cleber J grant called the opening meeting to order the seating capacity of 0 the great tabernacle was comfortably fort ably filled the opening address i was made by president grant who j called attention to the tact fact that friday was the ninety eight h wani a ini ot of the organization of the chuich chui cli that organization was effected with six members he be said and from that humble beginning the membership has grown until today it includes more than persons during his opening address president grant read a report on the activities and expenditures of the chuich during the past year general authorities sustained by masses near the close of the afternoon session of the conference friday the names of the general authorities of the
