Show daggett looks to new road will connect isolated utah country with remainder of the state GREEN RIVER wyo march alarca 15 manila utah citizens sent a delegation to green river last weekend consisting of peter G wall county attorney of daggett county 0 E kingsford principal of the manila schools timothy C potter J frank adamson Ad ainson mr and mrs william boren and others the delegation expressed a terling feeling of optimism as to the future of baby country daggett largely because of the new road mer across the uintah mountains mountain from vernal daggett county Is cut oft off from the remainder of the state of utah that the people there have difficulty in keeping track of the fact that they belong to that state their mail comes from green river wyo their roads all lead into wyoming and none into anto utah directly they go to the railroad at wyoming Wy orning stations sell their products in wyoming markets do their banking at banks in green arver and rock springs wyo the L D S church connections are with the lyman stake the remainder of which Is in wyoming the towns with which the daggett county towns neighbor back and forth at dances and other social life a are e mckinnon and burnt pork fork in wyoming many of the people who winter in manila spend their summers in wyoming while their irrigation streams are partly in utah and partly in wyoming one of greatest needs the delegation said is to connect up with this little country in every way that it can to make the people teel they are still utahna this is being done most effectively by them the new road another thing about the road too la Is that it will be the first and only through road that is worthy that name to be built in daggett county and the people here feel they have some ol of the best summer resort places in the state tribune |
