Band members are now raising funds to pay for that trip by selling pizzas and family portraits. Those wishing more information can contact the school at 299-2055. BHS band to compete in Colorado The Bountiful High School Band will be performing in Colorado . Springs competition May 5-9. Band members are raising funds to pay their own way. They will be selling pizzas and family portraits to help defray the cost of the trip. The 12" pizzas will sell for $6 and the family portraits are a 10x13, oak framed, colored picture for $12.95. Additional prints are available for reasonable cost. Band members will be contacting you or you could call Laurel Larson at 295-1933. There will also be a variety of candy and things to buy at the Parent-Teacher conference March 12 between 1-4 p.m. Parents are helping help-ing in this sale. Band students are scheduled for several festival performances during dur-ing February including the following: follow-ing: Feb. 18, U of U Jazz Festival, 3:50 p.m. U of U; Feb. 20, Pep Band, 6 p.m., BHS; Feb. 21, U of U Percussion Festival, all day, U of U; Feb. 25, Region Jazz Festival, Festiv-al, TBA, Highland High; Feb. 28, U of U Brass Festival, 8 a.m.-l p.m. U of U. There .ill be new uniforms for the marching band next school year. Any alumni or interested person per-son who wants to donate to the uniform fund, please contact us. |
