Show THE commercial CO CLUB the roosevelt commercial club has been doing its work quietly for the past few months but it is time that we took its horn so to speak A great leal deal of work has been accomplished complis hed the past year a groat great deal more than you possibly imagine take the hayden road for instance the commercial club spent on that road on the independence road they spent about 25 tor for lumber ou on brid bridges gea but this organization Is not going to stop there last thursday the goNer governors nors held a meeting with mr air allred sir goodrich Goodri cli and mr air burdick Burd lck representative citizens of 0 bluebell and thoroughly discussed the bluebell road proposition these men came down from bluebell with a subscription list and there was subscribed and ther spokesman said they could easily raise more which would virtually make mahe between and in labor the roosevelt commercial club appropriated cash at the present time of 0 which they will give more as the occasion demands but this money is available immediately last spring the club set aside all dues and initiation tees fees were to be used in building roads outside the city limits now the dues of 0 this organization is per month and we have business men in this city who do not belong every farmer and every property owner owne in this corn com should join for it Is money they will get good returns tor for in ill the near future good roads means better markets tor for the farmer and it also means they can haul bigger loads which is an item during these strenuous times come across people and join the commercial club dont let this burden of building good roads rest on a few be one of ls us be progress progressive lie and help the good cause along two years ago tile the commercial club spent about on this road alding avery good road across hancock cove with a little repairing this can be made a boulevard there is about a mile of sand that will have to be clayed and a dugway built from the bluebell bench beach down to the dry gulch and to com the whole road it will take in the neighborhood of 1500 in money and labor if IE we want to go to bluebell at the present time we have to go nearly to myton thence to Lake fork and around which is about 12 miles further than this road will be there is no doubt but what the county commissioners will help some on this road it would be mighty nice of them if they would furnish the tools the road overseer and a little money bluebell will furnish the labor then the indian department might help some in that way this road could be built and built to stay 0 it bracken president of the club and A birch treasurer went over to ft Duc duchesne esne monday to see mr kneale the indian agent and returned with the glad tidings that the indian department would subscribe to the bluebell road this makes it a asure sure go now if we can get about more labor donated the people on the west can rest assured they will have a good roid rod |
