| Show UINTAH BASIN PRODUCES WORLDS HUGEST SKELTON uintah basin has the distinction of having produced the largest animal fossil yet unearth ed according to supt bupt H H cummings of the church schools although the skeleton is feet long the head is about the size of a horses head and the brain no larger than a walnut the specimen was found last thanksgiving day by dr earl douglas of the carnegie institute of technology pittsburg and has been shipped for exhibition in the museum there dr douglas has been working in the region six years and during that time has recovered rare specimens from the uintah quarries according to dr douglas the huge dinosaur possessed the minimum of intelligence although being the hugest animal so far found in the worlds history supt bupt cummings has recently returned from a visit to the church schools in the uintah country deseret news |
