Show Counties Receive Forest Receipts Money During the twelve month period per-iod ending June 30, 1953, the U. S. Forest Service returned a total of $14,921.89 in National Forest receipts money to the counties comprising the Ashley National Forest, according to Forest Supervisor William D. Hurst. This amount represented 25 of the total National For est receipts collected during the year by the Ashley from timber sales, grazing permits and other specified land uses. The money will be used by the counties' governmentsv for schools and roads. The four counties containing the Ashley National Forest as of June' 30, 1953, received their portion of the receipts money on an acreage basis. Their proportionate pro-portionate share amounted to the following: Dag.eet County, $3,330.11; Duchesne Du-chesne County, $5,362.81; Summit Sum-mit County, 32,430.91; Uintah County, $3,798.06. |
