Show Mr. and Mrs. Max Gardner have returned from a trip East, driving back an International truck. Mr. and Mrs. Ivan Payne were brief visitors in Roosevelt last Saturday, enroute to Vernal. Ver-nal. Formerly of Roosevelt, the Paynes are now residing in Salt Lake City. Visitors at the George Pulos home last weekend were Mr. and Mrs. Robert Boyer. Myrtle Lambert left Tuesday for an extended visit through Idaho and Wyoming. Mrs. Paul Stringham and children left Monday morning for Madison, Wisconsin, for a three-week visit with relatives. Dr. Stringham plans to join them later and drive back with them. Mrs. Lynn Taylor, who has been in Hawaii the past six months, returned home Sunday morning with her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Clarence Rowley, who had driven to Salt Lake City for her. Mr. Taylor will be on naval ship duty in the Philippines, Philip-pines, and Catherine will remain re-main with her parents until her husband is released in ten months. Mr. and Mrs. Morris Lewis, of Coalville, spent the weekend at the Gordon Harmston residence. resi-dence. Returning home with them was their aaugnter, Katny, who had spent three weeks visiting vis-iting here. Mrs. Irene Fretwell and Wm. H. Ruppel, Jr. were Salt Lake City visitors Saturday and Sunday. Sun-day. Mr. and Mrs. Aral Allred, of Farmington, New Mexico, are here visiting the Gilbert Mc-Kennas Mc-Kennas and the Wesley Allreds of Neola. LaJean McKenna returned re-turned with them after spending spend-ing three weeks there. Mr. and Mrs. Lewis Swenson, of Provo, parents of John Swenson, and Eugene Swenson, of Cleveland, Ohio, a brother, were visitors at the Swensotl home last weekend. Accompanying Accom-panying them was Mrs. Swen-son's Swen-son's mother, Mrs. Zelma Bear-dall, Bear-dall, of Springville. Mr. and Mrs. Ormon Wilkins, of Washington, Utah, parents of Mrs. T. A. Sullivan, and Mrs. Elva Kershaw, a sister, and her three daughters, of Van Nuys, Calif., spent the past week visiting vis-iting at the Sullivan home. Houseguests at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Clrff Memmott 1 last weekend were Mr. and Mrs. Max Crossland, and daughters, Colleen and Pamela, of Salt Lake City. Mr. and Mrs. Alva Snow and family, accompanied by Mr. Snow's brother, Dr. Beman Snow, of Philadelphia, his wife and two children, left Monday morning to visit relatives in St. George. Lynn Snow celebrated his tenth birthday Wednesday of last week, inviting a group of friends to his home for a party. Monday visitors at the Wesley R. Dickerson home were Mr. and Mrs. Heber Farr and Mr! and Mrs. Lawrence Farr and family, of Provo. Mr. and Mrs. J. V. McLea were - Salt Lake City visitors this week. Houseguests of Dr. and Mrs. R. V. Larson last weekend were Mr. and Mrs. Vincent V. Larson and children, of Phoenix, Ariz. Kaye Saunders, daughter of Dr. and Mrs. L. S. Saunders, of Salt Lake City, formerly of Roosevelt, is visiting in Ioka and Roosevelt with friends. Visitors at the A. B. Christen-sen Christen-sen home Sunday were relatives from Springville Mrs. Ruby Twitchell, J. R. Norton and Mr. and Mrs. Verl Harward and children. The Christensens plan to leave Friday for Elko, Nevada, where they will spend the July 4th weekend. Miss Maria Pulos and Miss Carol Memmott left by bus Tuesday night for Salt Lake City, and from there accompanied accompan-ied Mr. and Mrs. Robert Boyer to Coulee Dam, Washington, where they will vacation for a week. They plan to visit Yellowstone Yel-lowstone Park enroute to Washington. Wash-ington. r Visiting at the Orson Stevens' home is Miss Patricia Larson, of Salt Lake City. She accompanied accom-panied the Stevens from Salt Lake, where they had attended a wedding. After a week's visit, vis-it, Patricia will be accompanied by Connie Stevens, her cousin, to Salt Lake, where the latter-will latter-will spend a week visiting. Mr. and Mrs. Ralph Shields plan to leave Friday morning for San Diego, where Ralph will take his annual two-week training duty with the U. S. Navy. Visitors the forepart of the week at the Ralph Shields' home were Mr. and Mrs. Kenneth E. Zirker and family and Mrs. Vernal Nielson of Washington. They plan to visit with friends and relatives for two weeks before be-fore returning home. Mr. and Mrs. Ted Harmston returned home last Thursday by plane from Vallejo, Calif., after enjoying a week's visit with the Andrew Norlings. Returning with them was their son, Dick, who had spent five weeks at the Norling home. Mr. and Mrs. Dwain Buchanan Buchan-an and twins, Jack and Jill, returned re-turned hame last Thursday night from Salina. Mr. Buchanan Buchan-an drove down to get his family, fam-ily, after they had spent two weeks with relatives there and at Springville. Miss Audrey Hall, who is employed em-ployed in Washington. D. C, as a dentist receptionist, is home on vacation to visit with her -parents, Mr. and Mrs Heber T Hall, and friends. |
