Show Myton Mrs. Grace Dalgleish Carolyn Dennis was hostess at a party Saturday afternoon in celebration of her 13th birthday birth-day anniversary. Games were enjoyed, en-joyed, and delicious refreshments refresh-ments served to Vivian Larson, Cleo Holgatc, Wilda Robinson. Faye Frandscn, Jenene Harris, Joan Funk, Marilyn Dodge, Ver-na Ver-na Muse, Margie Gingell. June Itobbins, Merrill Wood, Ronald Zirker, Joe Shields, Richard Fenn and Dale Peterson. Dinner guests at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Syerl Dennis. Sunday Sun-day evening, were Mr. Dennis' mother and father, Mr. and Mrs. Dan Dennis, of Provo; Mr. and Mrs. Grant Jacobs, Mr. and Mrs. Orval Gillen, Norval Hatch and Robert Hatch. Mr. and Mrs. Floyd Lamb entertained en-tertained Sunday, with ten guests enjoying bridge and a delicious i lunch. High score prizes were won by Mr. and Mrs. James Dalgleish. Dal-gleish. Mrs. Wm. I Tom Dennis, who is attending the USAC at Logan, visited with his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Wallace Wal-lace Dennis, last week, returning return-ing to Logan Sunday. Tom came i in with nis brother, Howard, who made a plane trip to Logan, returning re-turning to Myton last Thursday. Louis Uresk, a student at the U.S.A.C., spent the weekend with his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Matt Uresk. Lavora Murray is spending a week with her parents, Mr; and Mrs. Wilmer Murray, enjoying a bctween-semester vacation from her studies at the University of Utah. N. L. Peterson, who has been ill for several months, was taken to the Roosevelt hospital last week. Latest reports are that he is somewhat improved. Mr. and Mrs. Elton Quick and small son arrived Thursday to visit witn Mrs. wuick s parents, Mr. and Mrs. Emery Neilson. Wesley Brummett was rushed to the Veterans hospital in Salt Lake Saturday morning. Jack Giles took him to Salt Lake, and reported, on his return, that Mr. Brummett was getting along nicely. Evan Peterson, who has been working at Taft, Calif., for the - past winter, returned home last ) week to atend to his interests in j Myton and vicinity. Calvin Monks spent the week-) week-) end with his parents. Mr. and Mrs. Frank Monks. He is attend-j attend-j ing the University of Utah. Vern Brummett, who is em- ployed at the Nutter ranch in ) Nine Mile, is spending a few days ; at the home of his parents. Ted Thomas, of Price, spent i the weekend attending to prop- : erty interests in this vicinity. Mr. and Mrs. James Giles : moved to the ranch home of their daughter, Mrs. Wm. Brund- i age, near Bridg'eland, Saturday. ; Mr. Giles will farm the property. Darrell Dean returned last ! week to the Veterans hospital at j Salt Lake where he will under- , go further treatment after a brief i release from the hospital. Announcement has been re- : ceived of the arrival of a son, i born March 10, to Mr. and Mrs. Lester Blanchard at Salt Lake. Mrs. Blanchard is a daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Devon Gentry. Mr. and Mrs. Cyle Gill and family were weekend visitors in Myton, returning to Salt Lake City Sunday. Mr. and Mrs. Dean Peterson and small son arrived Sunday" from Taft, Calif., to spend a few days with their parents. Mr. and Mrs. N. L. Peterson and Mr. and Mrs. W. C. Hancock, and other members of their families. They left their 2 small daughters in Provo to visit at the Clyde Howell How-ell home. Mr. and Mrs.. Truman Mitchell and family, of Duchesne, visited at the W. C. Hancock farm Sunday. Sun-day. Mrs. Mitchell was again a Myton visitor Monday to join the family in a gt-together to enjoy a visit with a sister, Mrs. Dean Peterson, who is here from California Cal-ifornia for a brief stay, Mrs. Frank Monks returned Friday from a visit in Provo. She was accompanied by her daughter. daugh-ter. Marguerite, who is a student stud-ent at the B.Y.U. Mr. and Mrs. R. J. Adams and daughter, Bonnie, of Roosevelt, visited, .Sunday afternoon, with Mr, and Mrs. James Dalgleish. Mr. and Mrs. Dan Dennis and baby, of Ft. Collins, Colo., visit ed with Dan's parents, Mr. and Mrs. Wallace Dennis. They arrived ar-rived Monday after a visit in Idaho Ida-ho with Mrs. Dennis' family. The American Legion and Auxiliary, Wm. R. Sands Post and Unit 5, are arranging a special meeting for Friday, Mar. 25. Department and district Legion Le-gion officers will be in attendance. attend-ance. Mr. and Mrs. Emery Nielson and Mr. and Mrs. Elton Quick and son were dinner guests Sunday Sun-day at the home of Mr. and Mrs. i M. C. Adams. The family motored motor-ed to Arcadia in the late afternoon after-noon to spend the evening with Mr. and Mrs. Hale Holgate and Mr. and Mrs. Otto Nielson. Mr. and Mrs.,VVm. R. Preece, Sr. left Monday for Salt Lake where they will visit their son 'and daughter-in-law, Mr. and Mrs. Wm. R. Preece, Jr. Mr. Preece underwent a serious operation op-eration a few months ago and will receive a medical check-up while there. Laurel Snyder spent the weekend week-end with her parents. Mr. and Mrs. Rueben Elder. She is a student at the B.Y.U." and a member mem-ber of the varsity and concert bands. With these groups she recently completed a tour of central cen-tral and southern Utah. Kay Elder, a student at the B.Y.U. , spent the weekend at the home of his parents. Mr. and Mrs. Leo Elder. |
