Show XSXSXSXSX2XSXSXS ALTONAH X5XSX5X5SSX55XSX5X5X5XSX? Mr. and Mrs. Fay Reay and daughter, Mary were Sunday dinner guests at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Less Shiner. The Relief society held a Rag Bee Tuesday in the Ward hall. Rags were cut and sewed to make several rugs. There were 29 ladies present, Refreshments Refresh-ments were served. Mr. and Mrs. Warren Beebe moved into their new home last week. Lester Maxfield went to Salt Lake City Monday to get his wife and sons. His son Perry is able to be brought home after being treated in the L D S hospital hos-pital for pneumonia. Mrs. LeRoy Barker gave a party Saturday, January 20 in honor of her daughter, Eva Lee's first birthday. Many nice gifts were received by the guest of honor. Games were played and a delicious lunch was served to Mrs. Dewey Jessen and daughter daugh-ter Judy, Mrs. Jack Fisher and son Ray, Mrs. Leslie Boswell and son. Dale, Mrs. Burke Shiner and son Billy, Margaret Shiner, Sharleen and Marlyn Young and Sharly Shiner. Pvt. Harold Anderson came I home Wednesday for a few days visit with his parents, Mr. and Mrs. John Anderson, after completing com-pleting his basic training at Camp Roberts, California. Mr. and Mrs. Merlyn Harris accompanied accom-panied him from Ogden to visit relatives a few days. Mrs. Fenton Powell left for Provo last week where she will receive medical treatments. George Zounadakis sold his farm and cattle to Max Barlow and he and his wife left for Salt Lake City Monday where he will find employment. Their sons are planning on finishing school at Altamont before leaving. leav-ing. Earl Dunsmore went to Roosevelt Wednesday to get his wife and new daughter. Mr. and Mrs. Charley Bowden and daughters from the Big Bonanza Bon-anza mine spent a few days visiting visit-ing Mr. Bowden's mother, Mrs. Mary Bowden. Mrs. Leslie Barker and daughter, daugh-ter, Mrs. Nina Boswell and son were dinner guests of Mr. and i Mrs. Oscar Becbe Sunday. Mrs. Lucy Long is employed in Salt Lake City. Fay. Miles of Mt. Home was in town on business Friday. Mr. and Mrs. Clarence Smith received word of the marriage of their son, Pvt. Grant Smith to Elaine Crane January 15. Grant is now somewhere overseas. Von Timothy returned to his work at Mounds after being home for sometime with infection infec-tion in his leg. Mr. and Mrs. Clarence Smith and Jack Allred were in Duchesne Du-chesne on business Wednesday. ( Mr. and Mrs. Charley Timothy and daughters and Beverley Timothy of Layton were visiting visit-ing in town a few days last week. A large crowd of Altonah people .attended conference at Mt. Emmons Sunday, also Altonah Al-tonah furnished five songs for the program. |
