Show iVof Lakeriew Hospital! In Wednesday's paper (Feb. 22) there was an article arti-cle written by Vickie Matheson called "Visiting hours are all Wrong." I know this lady was not at Lakeview Hospital in Bountiful but if anyone who did not know of Lakeview's policies read the article they could assume she was. I AM A volunteer at Lakeview Hospital and am very proud to work there. We have what is called an open policy on visiting hours so that family and friends may call any time between 10 a.m. and 8 p.m. The only thing we ask is that they keep their visits short. In most of the rooms we have an extra bed if a family member is needed to spend the night. The majority of the patients do not like a lot of company. Ms. Matheson also mentioned having someone slip her in food. I am sure she failed to realize that most patients are on special diets and any other food that is brought in without permission could be dangerous. dan-gerous. AS FAR AS the TV is concerned, we have cable TV so they have a selection if they wish to watch. I think the people of Bountiful should be proud of their hospital. It has more modern equipment and services than most hospitals in the state. Margaret S. Nelson |
