Show Lewis Oops Wild Bull-Riding Contest fit Hontwel Rodeo On Labor Day Bill Lewis, of Vernal, is the first Montwcl Rodeo saddle bull-riding bull-riding champion. Monday he won what is believed to be the first contest of this type ever presented pre-sented in the Basin, shading1 Ambrose Am-brose Wash, Ft, Duchesne. 2nd place winner. Max Lloyd, Upal-co, Upal-co, came in 3rd. A large crowd was on hand to watch the event. Good stock was featured in the contests, and, for a change, there were no accidents. ac-cidents. Winners in other riding and roping contests: Saddle-Bronc Kine Hatch, Vernal, 1st place; Ray Cutch. Whitcrocks, 2nd; and Boots La-Rose, La-Rose, Whiterocks, and Tom Ap-pah, Ap-pah, Utahn, who split for 3rd. CaLf-Roping Floyd Lyons, Mt. Home, 1st place; Lee Goodrich, Good-rich, Bluebell, 2nd; and Jack Allred, Altcrra, 3rd. Wild-Horse Race Merlin Sprouse, Neola, 1st place; and Oral Allred, Neola, 2nd. Bare-Back Riding Oral All-red All-red and Bill Kayon, Whiterocks, who staged a 1st and 2nd place split; and Curley Clark, Roosevelt, Roos-evelt, 3rd. Steer Riding Max Lloyd, 1st place; Lyn Hullinger, Lapoint, 2nd, Team Roping Russel Cutch, Whitcrocks, 1st; and Bert Tapo, Whiterocks, 2nd. The race winners were: Chariot Jim Larsen. Arcadia, Arca-dia, 1st place; and Earl Roberts, Montwel, 2nd. Pony Billy Dougdale, Mont-wel, Mont-wel, 1st place; and Gary Doug- dale, 2nd.
