Show Group To Organize Local UN Chapter (Reprinted from the Vernal ' Express) A mass meeting will be held at the courtroom in the Uintah County Courthouse Monday, August 11, beginning at 8 p. m. for the purpose of organizing a local chapter of the Utah Association Asso-ciation for the United Nations. The meeting which has been called by Rt. Rev. Arthur W. Moulton, state chairman of the organization, will feature an address ad-dress by Miss Elsie Jensen, advisor ad-visor to the committee which studied the peace at Dumbarton Onkcs. Miss Jensen, who is a member of the United Nations Council, was formerly a professor profes-sor at Stanford University and University of Hawaii. She is at i present affiliated with the California Cali-fornia school system in an ad-1 ministrative capacity. i Other leaders in the move-' ment who are also expected to attend this meeting are: Levi Edgar Young, LDS leader; L,e-Roy L,e-Roy Cowles, president of the Utah University and Miss Mary Rose Allen, member of the ex- j ecutlve council. j Purpose of the organization is i to further peace throughout the world. |
