Lee Chase of Rangley, Colorado, Col-orado, also visited at the Pike home. Mrs. Pike, Mrs. Larson and Mrs .Chase are sisters. Mrs. Lola Clark has been sick this week with the flue. She is at the home of her mother Mrs. Walt Penfold. , Last Sunday was Sunday School conference at Bennett. Ben-nett. A number of Stake officers of-ficers were present. Avard A. Rigby, Frank Walker, Ned Gines and Vera McCalister: Mr. and Mrs. Merlin McKenna and daughters Marjorie, Merna and Sheron were Sunday visitors visi-tors at the home of Mr. and Mrs, John Hall, her parents, it being their 45 wedding anniversary. They returned home in the evening. even-ing. Winfred Long is home from the Mountain where he is employed em-ployed at the saw mill working for Lawrence Murphy. Mr. and Mrs. Ray Houston of Whitrocks visited last week at the home of his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Jack Houston. The work on the church house is progressing nicely, the furnace room is ready for the furnace, the large flue is completed and the rooms are ready to plaster. They expect to finish the work now under way before spring work starts. Mrs. Reva Hall has spent this week in Vernal taking treatments. treat-ments. Mr. and Mrs. W. L. Whitlock of Leeton visited Sunday in Vernal Ver-nal at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Vern McCarrell. Mrs. Whitlock took the articles made by the Leeton and Bennett ladles for the Red Cross Chapter. There were over 300 pieces, those working were Mrs, Nellie Whitlock, Whit-lock, Audry Taylor, Reva Hall, Adaline Hartle, Bell Gardner, Jane Workman, Mrs Pike, Mrs. Walt Penfold and Lola Clark all of Leeton. Doris Haslem, Nellie Horrocks, M. E. Hamaker of Bennett. Mrs. Bill Coltharp of Rangely is visiting with her Parents, Mr. and Mrs. J. Perry Bowen. Those from here attending the basket ball game Friday night at Alterra, were: Mrs. Clair Haslem Has-lem and family, Merve Bolton and family, Byron Horrocks, Niels and Verne Hamaker, Philip, Phil-ip, Kenneth and Howard Mc-Kowen, Mc-Kowen, Mr. and Mrs. Fred Hartle Har-tle and daughter Elna, Mrs. De-lma De-lma Long and family, and several sever-al others. |
