Mrs. Emma Wimmer was called cal-led to Salt Lake City Saturday by the death of her son, Mark who was killed instantly when he ac-cidently ac-cidently touched a live wire. She was accompanied by her daughter, daugh-ter, Mabel, and by Mr. and Mrs. Ira A. Pace, who are the parents of Mrs. Mark Wimmer. The family fam-ily were former residents of Neola, but have resided in Salt Lake City for several years, Laurence Yack, who has been in the South Pacific, returned to Neola last Wednesday. Otis Burton, who is attending the B Y U spent last week end here with his wife and son. Garth Anderton of the Navy is enjoying a leave with home folks in Neola, Mr. and Mrs. Mont Arbuckle were Vernal visitors last Monday. Mr. and Mrs. L. D. Gardner of Salt Lake City spent Friday in Neola. Mrs. Geneva Whiting entertained enter-tained at a miscellaneous shower last Saturday afternoon, honoring honor-ing her daughter, Mrs. Forrest Hancock. The time was spent in games after which a delicious lunch was served to forty-five guests. Mrs. Hancock was the recipient of many useful and beautiful gifts, Mrs. Alex Sullivan of Roosevelt Roos-evelt was a Neola visitor last Saturday. Mr. and Mrs. Joe Yack made a business trip to Vernal last Monday. Mon-day. LaVell Horrocks spent the past week in Salt Lake City where he received r.edical attention. Elden Gardner is visiting in Ogden at the Bob Davis home. Miss Marjorje Gardner was hostess to the junior genealogical genealog-ical class at her home last Thurs-Due Thurs-Due to the lateness of the hour, the lesson was dispensed with and a delicious lunch served to those present. Tom Smith and Cyril Stout of Union were visitors at the Olaf Duncan home last week end. Mrs. Duncan and daughter, Othea, returned re-turned with them for a brief visit. |
