Show Less Horses The supply of horses on farms declined, de-clined, during 1943, for the 29th consecutive con-secutive year. The number dropped to 9,330,000 head at the beginning of 1944 from 9,675,000 a year ago and from 21,431,000 at the beginning of 1915 when the downward trend began. The number of mules on farms have declined for 19 consecutive consecu-tive years. There were 3,559,000 mules on farms on January 1, 1944, as compared with 3,704,000 a year ago and with the peak of 5,918,000 in 1925. |
