Show Farm Mishap, Browning Increase Death Roster Land Leveler Takes Life Of Ioka Boy; Irrigation Canal Claims Second Victim In Week JbAiAL accident continued a sweep across the Uintah Basin last week as two more youngsters met death in unforseen mishaps. Victims of the disasters are: Milton Willis Lowry, 6 year old .son of Willis Ivan and Ruth Taylor Marchant Lowry, Ioka, and Patricia Pa-tricia Mitchell, 18 months old daughter of Ned B. and Betty Lou Hansen Mitchell, of Mt. Emmons. The Lowry boy was killed when a land leveller over turned, striking him on1 the head. The Mitchell baby was found drowned in an irrigation canal near her home. RIDING on a land leveler, which was in operation on a farm under lease by his father near Arcadia, the Lowry youngster was unable to clear the leveler when it over turned. The heavy piece of equipment struck him near the temple. The babe's body was found in an irrigation canal at 5 p. m., 20 minutes after she was missed by her parents. Presumably she had wandered away from the yard and had fallen into the canal which is running at full capacity. Her drowning was the second irriga- , tioh canal death in Duchesne county in less than a week. The first victim was Lorin Grant Carruth, 20-month-old son of Mrs. Genavieve Webb Carruth, who was drowned at Ioka two days before. The Mitchell baby was brought to the Roosevelt hospital where she failed to' respond to two hours of treatment. Patricia Mitchell is survived by her parents and four grandparents, grand-parents, Mr. and Mrs. Parley Mitchell and Mr. and Mrs. Linden Lin-den Hansen, all of Mt.
