Show BLUEBELL Word comes that Mrs. Delores Drollinger suffered shock, buris-es buris-es and was knocked unconscious for about 11 hours when the car in which she was riding, which was driven by her brother, Floyd Goodrich collided with another car at 6th North and 5th East Street at Provo, Utah. The accident occurred when Floyd's car collided with a car driven by Golden Woolf of 944 East D Street. Delores was taken tak-en to the Valley hospital in an ambulance where she was given emergency treatment, following which she was released to her home. On February 13th the ward gave an old folks party. The chapel was beautifully decorated decorat-ed with Valentines and red and white streamers. At 10 o'clock dinner was served, the table was set the length of the assembly room. 34 guests sat down to a bounteous chicken dinner and all the trimmings. The favors 1 were red, white and blue crepe 1 baskets filled with candy. After dinner a good program was enjoyed. en-joyed. President and Mrs. Leon Burton of Talmage and Mr. and-Mrs. and-Mrs. LeRoy Thacker of Alta-mont Alta-mont were present. Mr. and Mrs. Henry Wathen and Mr. and Mrs. Alva Hancock are to be congratulated congrat-ulated for their splendid work to make the party a success. Mr. and Mrs. Max Burdick and Miss Elva Harris of Roosevelt Roose-velt were visiting Mr. and Mrs. Lyman Burdick on Thursday. Mrs. Alva Hancock returned home on Thursday from Salt Lake City where she has spent the past week visiting relatives. Mr. and Mrs. Martin Hancock returned home on Friday from Farmington where they have been visiting relatives. Mrs. R. A. Murray came home from Tooele where she has spent the past three weeks visiting her children and families. The Gold and Green ball held on Tuesday in the Bluebell chapel was truly a success. Miss Hazel Bird was chosen queen by popular vote and Glenn Jenkins Jen-kins was king. Her attendants were Donna Rose Kimball, and partner Boyd Goodrich, Erdria Mathews and R. G. Lisonbee and Iva Bird and Earl Murray. A large crowd witnessed a beautiful beauti-ful dancing exhibition by the queen and attendants and their partners. The hall was beautifully beautiful-ly decorated in Valentines and red and white streamers. Mr, and Mrs. Willard Day and two daughters of Roosevelt were visitors at Sacrament meeting meet-ing on Sunday. Albert Mathews received a very happy surprise last Monday Mon-day when he received a telegram stating his wife had arrived in California. Mrs. Mathews has been serving as a nurse in the South Pacific. j In the year of 1944 a contest was held between the boys and girls of the Junior class in the Sunday school to see which could have the best attendance. The boys won so the girls entertained enter-tained them Thursday evening. They played games and enjoyed dancing after which they were treated to cookies and punch. The class teachers, Mrs. Martha Thorsen and Mrs. Garda Seeley were also present. Also the Bishopric Bish-opric and the Sunday school Presidency and " their partners attended. |
