Fireman Lavar Peterson came home "Wednesday to visit until Tuesday with his parents, Mr. and Mrs. N. L. Peterson, before he changes schools. Mr. a'nd Mrs. Andrew Talboe came home Thursday from Prove, where they attended the funeral of Mr. Talboe's brother, Dennis Talboe. Friday Bridge The Bridge club met at the home of Miss Alice Todd The following were present, Mrs. Floyd Lamb, Mrs. Dorthy Palmer, Pal-mer, Mrs. Homer Robins, Mrs. Laura Preece, Mrs. Bliss Lott, Mrs. Wm. Kohler and Mrs. W. E. Kronquist of Fort Duchesne. Department vice commander, James Dalgelish returned home Friday evening with J. Harry Hickman and son of Salt Lake City who came to hunt phesants. E. W. Crocker and son of Salt Lake City were visiting Mr. and Mrs. James Dalgleish over the week end. j Mrs. Alden Fenn and family moved back to Provo Saturday. B Nowlin of Salt Lake City was Mrs. Lavar Dennis came home Tuesday night. She has been with her father who was operated on m Provo. Mrs. Dennis also visited Mr. and Mrs. Morris Peterson. Chester Dalgleish and Walley Peck of Salt Lake were guests of Mr. James Dalgleish over the week end. Will Woodard of Provo was taking care of business Monday. JMr. and Mrs. H. W. Davenport and son, Harry of Los Angles are here to make their home. They have purchased ground near the Clyde Wing ranch. Mrs. Emma Fanner came home Sunday. She has been visiting in Helper and Salt Lake City. Mrs. Lois Millner attended to ibusiness and spent Wednesday night with Mrs. R. T. Bonnin of Roosevelt. I J. A. Jenson of Heber is stay-Iwith stay-Iwith Mr. and Mrs. Emery Nielson 'during pheasant season. Mr. and Mrs. Frank Adams and family of Provo were visiting Mr. and Mrs. M. C. Adams over the week end. Mr. and Mrs. Bill Peatross of Strawberry were visiting Mrs. Lydia Peatross, mother of Bill, Sunday. Darlene Thompson of Salt Lake City was visiting her mother, Mrs. Ro.se Ingelsbe. The following left for Salt Lake City Monday to be examined for the army, Frank Adams, Jack Giles Vaughn Warr and Bob Peatross. Peat-ross. Mr. and Mrs. Wallace Jones of tleber spent the week end with Mr. and Mrs. Abe Lidell. Jewel Perry spent the week end in Salt Lake City visiting his grandmother, Mrs." Ella Nielson and family. Mr. and Mrs. Silas Ross "and daughter Coleen of Castlegate were visiting Mr. and Mrs. Emery Nie1son Saturday evening. Mr. and Mrs. Wm. Linck attended at-tended to business in Salt Lake Friday. Mr. and Mrs. Dave Gillan and son Arval left for Sandy Sunday. The Gillan's came out to help Arvil get his things arranged so he could join. the Armed forces. Ray Paromore of Salt Lake City is back working in the creamery. Lynn Whitcman, Dr. Ray Green of Salt Lake City were Sunday guests of Mr. and Mrs. Wm. Linck while pheasant hunting. Mr. and Mrs. Vaughn Warr of Provo were visiting the week end with Mr. Warr's mother, Mrs. Elizabeth Warr. Acel Bingham, Jr., is doing fine after an appendicities operation oper-ation in Vernal. Mrs. Charles Olvera of Wen-dover Wen-dover came in Wednesday to visit her mother, Mrs. Maud Woods. Mrs. Ray Fahrenbruch and baby boy came in Monday from Salt Lake City and left her baby Tuesday to see her husband off from Wenrover. Mr. and Mrs. Clyde Wing had the following v crowd Saturday night celebrating Mr Wing's Birth day; Mr. and Mrs. Lester Hoff, Mr. and Mrs. W. H. Davenport, Mr. and Mrs. Guy Giles and Mr. and Mrs. Fred Todd. Refreshments Refresh-ments were served. Miss Alice Todd had as dinner guests Sunday night, Mr. and Mrs. F. C. Ferron and Dr. and Mrs. D. P. Whitmore of Roosevelt. Roose-velt. Mrs. W. E. Burton went to Portland Tuesday to visit her daughter and son in law, Mr. and Mrs. Glen Kearney. The Legion and Auxiliary met at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Jay Smith for their business meeting. After the meeting, refreshments were served by the hostess, Mrs. Smith. Mrs. J. B. Blankenship went to Salt Lake City Sunday. She has been visiting her daughter and son in law, Mr. and Mrs. Wm. Koehler. Mr. and Mrs. George Jollev and Mr. and Mrs. J3. N. Jolley of Salt Lake City spent last week visiting Mrs. B. N. Jolley's mother, Mrs. Jack Gingell. They also in joyed a a pheasant hunt. Ray Gillan of Murray went back to school Sunday. He has been helping at the farm. Mr. and Mrs. -Wm Forsy the went to Salt Lake City Friday to purchase furniture for their home they have ready to move in. N. L. Peterson returned home Thursday with his son, Dail who was hurt on the school grounds. Miss Josephine Hunt was visiting visit-ing in Roosevelt Friday and Saturday Sat-urday with Mrs. Nora Mathews and attending to business. Mrs. Nora Montgomery of Salt Lake City was visiting with her son, Donna and Mr. and Mrs. Wm. Harris over the week end. The following left for the Armed forces Tuesday. Frank Adams, Ad-ams, Jack Giles, Glenn Foamer, Ersel Allred and Clifford Adams. Mrs. R. T. Bonnin of Roosevelt was visiting Mr. and Mrs. Wm. Koehler Sunday. Mrs. Faith Babcock ' and her father, Mr. Curtis went to Salt Lake City Tuesday. Mr. and Mrs. James Giles went to Salt Lake City' to see their son, Jack leave from there. Mrs. Erma Babcock of Salt Lake City came home Sunday. She works at the Arsenal in Og-den. Og-den. Earl Gingell fell in a pit he was helping fix for potatoes Monday breaking some of his ribs. |
