Show ANNUAL STAKE M MEN AND GLEANERS BANQUET-DANCE An outstanding event of the past week was the Roosevelt Stake M Men and Gleaners banquet ban-quet and dance held Wednesday evening, April 14, at the Roosevelt Roose-velt Stake house. Commemorating the silver jubilee ju-bilee of the organization of the M Men and Gleaners, the color scheme featured pink and silver. U shaped tables were centered with an exquisite arrangement of silver pussywillows and pink and silver seed pods. Pink tapers in crystal candelabra lighted the scene. Mrs. R. V. Larson presided as mistress of ceremonies while Bob Benson made an entertaining and amusing toastmaster as he introduced Audrey Smith, Renee La brum, Ray Johnston', Mary Ellen Stewart and Florence Percival, Per-cival, who presented musical numbers and dramatic readings for the entertainment of the banqueters. A toast to the M Men was given by LaRene Elmer of Neola, with President Ray E. Dillman making the response. Max Todd, of Ballard, offered a toast to the Gleaners which 'was responded to by Mrs. Paul i Murphy, Stake YWMIA president. presi-dent. Particular honor was paid tc Mrs. Alva Snow, a Stake Golden Gleaner, when Mrs. Murphy complimented her and presented her with a corsage, and Mrs. Snow pinned to her dress a tiny golden gleaner pin, an emblem of outstanding accomplishment in the organization.
