Show Mt. Emmons Peggy Ann Case Mrs. Pete Wall was taken to the Roosevelt hospital on. Monday Mon-day of last week suffering from a serious kidney disorder. She remained there until Thursday when local doctors recommended that she be moved to a Salt Lake hospital. The ward Relief Society, under un-der the direction of President Vera Hansen, and her counselors honored Mrs. Melinda Thomas at their regular meeting March 8. Mrs. Thomas, a class leader for the past several years, presented her final literature lesson, which jwas followed by a program and refreshments. Mrs. Thomas rnovc-d to her new homo in Roosevelt Roos-evelt the latter part of the week. Mr. and Mrs. Bruce Hartman motored to Salt Lake during the week. They returned by way of Provo and visited with Mrs. Hartman's parents. L. W. Rust accompanied them on th? trip. During the past week the Mt. States Telephone Co. made the initial stop in the long-awaited nrojecl of utilizing Ihe REA lines for a carrier telephone system. The four Altamont telephones LaFargc Dastrup's, Leland Stev-enson's, Stev-enson's, Martin Hislon's and the one in the REA office were connected to the electric line in a IHal hook-up. Miles took their daughter, Veva, to Provo Wednesday. Vcva has been having trouble with abscessed teeth since she was injured in an- automobile accident 3 months ago. She remained in Provo for treatment and her parents returned re-turned Friday after visiting in Provo and Salt Lake. |
