Show X5XSXSxSXSXSxSSXSxr- LAPOINT XSXSXSXSXSX5XSXSXSXS2X?' Mrs. Madge Fillingim left Monday for Salt Lake City to meet her husband who has been discharged from the Navy after serving for four years. They both returned to Lapoint on Thursday. Mr. and Mrs. Floyd Searle were visitors in Salt Lake City this past week. The Primary Officers entertained enter-tained the primary children at a dance in the Lapoint Chapel Tuesday afternoon. The Eleanor E. Caldwell camp of the Daughters of the Utah Pioneers held a meeting at the home of Mrs. Eliza Nielson Thursday at two oclock for the purpose of electing new officers. The following were sustained: Mildred Swain Mowery as captain, cap-tain, Mrs. Leona McConkie and Vivian Rasmussen as 1st and 2nd Vice Presidents. Elizabeth Nebeker Nebe-ker Secretary, Lovicia Smith as Treasurer, and Eva J. Wilson as class leader. Katie Horrocks, Ro-zclla Ro-zclla Livesay and Lelia Merkley of the County chapter of Vernal were in attendance. Mrs. Elizabeth Nebeker and granddaughter, Joan, visited this past week in Myton and Rand-lett. Rand-lett. Homer Lee, son of Mrs. Rhoda Lee received his discharge from the army at Oregon and arrived home on Saturday. Homer has been in the service nearly three years spending most of this time overseas. Mr. and Mrs. Otto Bisel were visitors in Salt Lake City the past week. |
